Privacy Policy

How Dojo Mails handles your data, analytics, and choices — in plain language.

Last updated: April 2, 2026

Dojo Mails ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. If you use our service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email address and name from sign-in (e.g. Google OAuth), optional profile name, and an optional profile photo you upload (stored as a small image reference in our database or a hosted URL).
  • Timer content: settings you choose for countdown timers (labels, dates, styling). This is used to generate images served to your recipients.
  • Usage & billing: aggregated counts such as timer image loads ("views") for plan limits and billing, subscription status with Stripe, and related metadata.
  • Optional analytics: when you use a tracking image URL (?a=1), we may store a hashed IP identifier and user-agent snippet per open to show analytics in your dashboard—not to identify individuals.
  • Support & feedback: text you submit on Help or Feedback forms, and optional screenshots you attach to bug reports. Screenshots are stored securely to reproduce issues and improve the product.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve Dojo Mails.
  • Authenticate you and secure your account.
  • Enforce plan limits, process payments via Stripe, and send service-related emails.
  • Respond to support requests and investigate feedback (including attached images).
  • Comply with law and protect rights and safety.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use processors such as Stripe for payments, hosting providers (e.g. AWS) for infrastructure, and email/auth providers as configured for your deployment. They receive only what is needed to perform their services.

Retention

We keep account and timer data while your account is active. Feedback and optional screenshots are retained as long as needed to handle your request and improve the service, then deleted or anonymized according to internal practices. You may request deletion of your account and associated data where applicable law allows.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us from Help when signed in, or via your account channels.

Children

Dojo Mails is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-product notice.
